Abstract
Physical assault is a social ill that remains a serious problem and continues to attract attention due to its severity. Every day related cases continue to be reported. Due to this lack of security, several devices have been developed to help request help in case one is in danger. This project focuses on the use of smart embedded systems and the internet of things to provide an efficient and effective device that will aid in reducing related statistics. The device will contain an alarm system and a GPS module with wireless communication. The alarm will help request near help, whereas the wireless communication and GPS will help request far help. The alarm system will work independently to allow the user to choose the safest means to request help.
