Abstract
Various tools have been developed to digitally analyse, visualise, and store data however
not all data exists digitally. While there are many benefits to digital systems, there are many
reasons while the progress into developing such systems is delayed especially in the African
context. The longer an organization collects data without digitally storing it, the more data needs
to be manually recorded into the digital system once implementation is possible. In order to
assist in the transition, this project proposes a system to scan physical documents, with a focus
on forms, into compiled digital datasets. This is done using Optical Character recognition.
